Library Mission

The Library of Capitol Medical Center Colleges is committed to supporting the institution’s mission of excellence in health sciences education by providing accessible, relevant, and innovative information resources and services that enhance teaching, learning, research, and community engagement. It strives to foster an environment that promotes lifelong learning, evidence-based practice, and academic excellence among students, faculty, and staff.

Library Vision

The Library of Capitol Medical Center Colleges envisions itself as a dynamic center of knowledge and information that supports the development of competent, compassionate, and globally competitive healthcare professionals through quality information resources, advanced technologies, and responsive library services.

Specific Objectives

  1. Collection Development and Management
    Select, acquire, organize, preserve, and provide access to diverse information resources in print, digital, and multimedia formats that support the academic programs and research initiatives of Capitol Medical Center Colleges, particularly in the health sciences and allied disciplines.
     

  2. Access to Information Resources
    Provide timely and efficient access to relevant learning and research materials that meet the information needs of students, faculty, researchers, and staff.
     

  3. User Education and Information Literacy
    Promote effective use of library resources and services through user education, information literacy programs, and instructional assistance to support academic success and evidence-based learning.
     

  4. Learning Environment and Technology Support
    Provide appropriate facilities, modern equipment, and advanced information technologies that create a conducive environment for study, research, collaboration, and learning.
     

  5. Linkages and Resource Sharing
    Establish partnerships and linkages with other libraries, healthcare institutions, and research organizations to expand access to scholarly information and promote resource sharing.
     

  6. Professional Development of Library Staff
    Develop competent, innovative, and service-oriented library personnel through continuous professional development to ensure high-quality library services.
